I hope everyone has had a smooth start to the 2010 – 2011 school year or at least as smooth as possible when it comes to school bus transportation. This is my 20th year and it always poses a challenge.
It is a great honor to serve as President for TASBT for the next two years. I want to thank the TASBT Executive Board Members and all the Vendors that put so much time and money into the organization. I will need your continued support to make my Presidency a success. With that said this organization would be nothing without its membership. You are the reason we, the Executive Board are here. If you have any recommendations for changes in the classes that we are giving or you would like to have additional classes that we do not cover let us know.
The two goals I’m setting for the organization are to grow the membership by 100 over the next two years and to be the first organization thought of when School Districts in Texas are looking for Technician training and certification.
We have put a site committee together to find the perfect place in Texas to host the America’s Best competition September 2011 if your District is interested, the application is on our web page. We will need to make site visits soon that way NAPT can start their scheduling.
